Lara Gheriani

Lara Gheriani is an Analyst at Tideline, having joined the team in January 2024.
Previously, Lara worked as a consultant for Ekiti State’s carbon credit and afforestation projects in Nigeria, conducted research at The Policy Practice for public-private climate-smart agricultural investments, and served as an Arab Youth delegate at COP28. Additionally, she interned at the United Nations in Vienna, specializing in diplomacy and economic development in the Global South, as well as at Let’s Reinvent, where she advised international green hydrogen producers on market-entry into the UK. In her spare time, she continues to help grow the Libyan Youth Council for Climate Change, the country’s first climate NGO/CSO, and serves as the Curator of the World Economic Forum’s ‘Global Shapers’ in London, focused on generating tangible impact solutions to local socioeconomic problems.
Lara holds an MPhil in International Development from the University of Oxford, which involved conducting in-person ethnographic research on informal economies in Johannesburg, and a BA in International Development from SOAS, University of London, focused on examining feminist economics principles in the MENA region. She also speaks fluent English, Arabic, and Italian, as well as proficient French.
